The ILEA Boston Student Program aims to help connect college students in the Greater Boston area with ILEA and the
events industry. The program is designed to allow students the opportunity to get a jump start on their careers
in the events industry while providing them with insider access to internships, job opportunities, and more!
Membership Information
Students can join ILEA for the low cost of $50 for a full-year membership. A student membership in ILEA
provides you with access to top-notch education both from the Boston chapter and the international organization. A

Internship, Externship, and Job Opportunities
We are extremely fortunate to have a diverse and expansive group of members in our chapter. Our members’ jobs
and companies range from wedding planners to DJs to venue managers and more! Joining ILEA Boston provides you
with the opportunity to network with some of the leading professionals in the Boston events industry and beyond.
Opportunities also exist to intern with some of our members or even spending a day or two shadowing them to get a
better feel for the many niches within the events industry.
Mentorship Opportunities
Starting a career after graduating can be an overwhelming experience. While not every company offers a formal
internship program, our members are also available to act as a mentor. Your mentor can provide career advice,
resume tips, and more!
Leadership Development
In addition to internships and real-world experiences, leadership development is a key factor to developing your
resume as you prepare to enter the job market. Student members have the opportunity to join a committee within
our chapter. Here, you will work side-by-side with our Board of Directors to continue developing and growing
the student and membership experiences in our chapter while getting hands-on event planning experience.
