      Blair Allen MitchamPresident Elect

Blair Allen of BAM Events has been in the industry for three years. Blair received her Event Planning certification from Massasoit Community College in 2015 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Becker College. Blair gained experience in all areas of event production by baking delicious cupcakes and creating paper decorations, but her true passion lies in planning and day of coordination.    

This is Blair's third year on ILEA Boston board and four within the organization.  Blair is also the Marketing and Communications Liaison for the Southeast ILEA Region.

      Monique JeffreyImmediate Past President

Monique is the Director of Events for Bramble Hospitality, an event group North of Boston offering two different luxury venues (most notably Willowdale Estate) to couples all over the New England area.  Monique’s passion for events started at an early age in restaurants and catering, and she started working at Willowdale Estate in 2012.  In six years, she has worked with hundreds of couples to create and execute impeccable events. 

Monique joined ILEA in December of 2012 and immediately fell in love with the Boston chapter’s enthusiasm for the events industry.  She has served on the Board of Directors for five years and currently sits as the Boston Chapter Immediate Past President.  Monique is also the International Chair of Membership Development, working with a committee to increase overall membership numbers and improve member value.

Renee SaboVice President of Communications

Renee is the founder of Urban Soiree Boston, a boutique wedding planning company based in Boston. Renee has an endless love for gorgeous events and cheerful clients. Her passion for the live events industry is undeniable and she has successfully coordinated and executed over hundreds of weddings and events throughout the Greater Boston and New England area. Renee has served on the ILEA Boston board since 2015 and is currently the Vice President of Communications.

After graduating high school in 1977, I went to work as a cabinetmaker for an architectural woodworking firm until 1985. It was during this time, along with my brother Andrew, that the idea was born to start a rental company! I knew I wanted to own & operate my own business. In 1979 with help from my older sail maker brother, We stitched together the first tent of what would eventually become a full service tent & party rental company that Chase canopy inc is today. After 40 years  we have grown into a Regional  tent event & party rental company servicing all of new England. Based in Mattapoisett mass I currently serve as President  I have lived here  my whole life.

What I like to do…… cooking,cruising  & good times with Friends!

Spirit of Excellence
Lynne is an award-winning wedding and portrait photographer who captures weddings across New England and beyond. Lynne launched her business in 2011 in Hartford, Connecticut and relocated to Boston in 2013. Bringing a mixture of professionalism and creativity to each client, Lynne enjoys working closely with couples who are deeply in love to capture their love stories in authentic, joyful, and classic imagery. Lynne’s work can be seen in the pages of Southern New England Weddings Magazine, as well as on Glamour & Grace, Borrowed & Blue, Wed Loft, Equally Wed Equally Family, and more. When not working with clients, Lynne trains for road races, indulges in a donut or two, drinks lots of coffee, and cuddles with her husband.
Tom KuraDirector of Membership
Tom is the co-founder and owner of Your Love In Lights, a marquee letter rental company based in Needham, MA that supports social and corporate events across New England. He started the business with his wife Helen in 2015, opening a third act in a career that began in manufacturing and international business management and later in management consulting. He designs and builds all of the company’s products and loves the freedom and sense of ownership that comes with running his own business. Tom joined ILEA in 2016 and credits the relationships built there as keys to the early success of his business and his own learning and growth as a participant in the live events industry. He is serving his first year on the board.

Priscilla works as a Senior event designer and planner at CSI. Organizing primarily corporate events, Priscilla's attention to detail and creative spirit has helped clients execute beautiful events. She loves the design aspect of her job and her favorite part of planning is the day of the event seeing it all come to life. Priscilla has a background in florals and has worked at one of Boston's top floral design studios helping with design, studio management and events.

Director of Special Projects
Rocky is the co-owner of Future Affairs Productions, an Award Winning (both Gala Awards and Esprit Awards) Special Event Design and Decorating Company. He has been on a member of ILEA since 2004 and has served in different capacities throughout those years including having served on the ILEA Rhode Island Chapter Board in several positions and becoming President from 2007 – 2008.  Rocky was the ILEA Regional Educational Conference Co-Chairman in 2008 which was held in Rhode Island. He has served on several international Committees from 2008 to 2012 and was on the board for ILEA Connecticut 2013 and 2014. He also holds two Guinness World Records, which you can ask him about at the next chapter meeting.
